Mark Joyner's marketing campaign for his new book "simpleology" started with a bang at the end of March. In the first week the book was in the best seller lists at the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and Amazon.com. A month later sales have dropped off somewhat, so Mark is giving things a boost by pointing out that the few thousand bucks worth of stuff that you can have shipped right to your door if you buy the book will only be available until March 7th. If you're considering buying the book now would be a really great time to make the decision, because this isn't just a bunch of digital downloads. This is a wheelbarrow full of cool business-building, success-enhancing *stuff*! The book itself covers a whole lot of ground, but for us here at reVolition.co.uk one of the most interesting topics Mark goes into is how we, the general public, are manipulated and controlled by politicians, big business and even by our friends and family. This point has also been made in some of the simpleology book reviews on Amazon.com, which you can read by clicking here. Most reviewers give the book 5 stars, but this certainly seems to be a book you will either love or hate. A couple of commentators even claim that the book is just a scam to get you to go to the website, which is an even bigger scam! There is no question that Mark is using the latest marketing techniques to persuade people to buy his book and visit his website. The huge irony though, is that the book then blows the lid off the psychological techniques marketers use to try to persuade us to buy their products, or vote for their political party. Mark Joyner is a poacher turned gamekeeper. If you have taken a look around the simpleology website you can easily let everyone know your views by clicking on one of the options in our new online poll. We still haven't had a correct answer to our puzzle about how Zeigarnik and Zihuatanejo tie in with simpleology. We'll let you know the answer on May 8th, if nobody has claimed the free book before then. |
